Meet Paul and Rebekah Fox

The Fox Family

Who we are

How we met

How we met

Back in 2019, Paul and Rebekah met at a wedding in Paris, France. Paul was finishing up Bible College, and Rebekah was in the middle of her Bible College program as well. Thanks to some mutual friends we kept in touch and were able to develop a friendship.

How we got here

How we got here

When we decided to get married, we knew the goal was missions, and we quickly started to get in contact with friends on the mission field already. Not long after that, we settled on serving at Calvary Chapel Feltre, as they were looking for a couple to come help full-time in the church, and we already had a relationship with many of the missionaries in Italy.

How it's going

How it's going

We’ve been in Feltre now for almost two years, and it’s going great! Little did we know when moving time came that we’d be bringing a third member of the family with us. We found out a couple of weeks before our flight that Rebekah was pregnant, and then in February of 2023, little Violet May was born here in Feltre, and she’s been a great addition to our family.

Ministry in Italy

So why Italy?

Italy is an interesting place for ministry because it’s not, at least not on the surface, a struggling country. It’s a very religious country, seeing as the home of the Roman Catholic Church is here, but it can often be a lifeless religion that is more focused on tradition and the routine of religious life. And that’s where our ministry, and that of the Calvary movement in Italy finds itself.

The weekly duties

On a weekly basis we are able to help with the practical needs of the church. Paul helps with a lot of the maintenance needs while Rebekah helps with many of the digital needs.

Youth Group

After having some time to get more aquatinted with the language we have been able to start helping out with the church’s youth group as well.

Why the need for missionaries? Coming from a US context it can be difficult to understand the need for missionaries here in Italy. Due to the Protestant evangelical movement being much smaller here there is a lack of resources for the local church bodies to sustain full-time church staff. So churches in the States, with the help of individual donors as well, are able to send people like us to help out with the full-time needs within the church.

Outreach

We offer classes to help locals and newcomers learn English and understand cultural nuances, enhancing communication and integration.

Helping other churches

With other Calvary Chapels in the area we have also been able to give a hand to other churches in our area as well.

How you can help

Prayer

First and foremost, we ask for prayer for everything that the Lord is doing, not just here in Feltre but throughout the whole country of Italy. Pray that more people would come to know Jesus in truth and that they would develop a strong personal relationship with Him. Be praying for churches spread throughout the country, for unity and for hearts of compassion for the believers within the churches here.

We ask for prayer for the other missionaries we’re serving alongside, here in Feltre, but also in the many other churches throughout the country.

We ask for prayer for our family and our life here and our service within the church.

Giving Financially

Part of our being able to stay here in the country long-term is by getting a religious visa through the church, which means we are not able to work within Italy due to the restrictions of this type of visa. This means that all of our financial support comes from donations.

We receive support from churches and also from individual donors to be able to sustain our work here in Feltre, and we’re beyond grateful for every donation received.

If you would like to give, you can do so through the giving section at calvarysanjuan.org/give and select ‘Italy Missions’ in the drop-down menu – or reach out to us if you’d like to give to us directly.

We’re not in this alone, and there are also many other missionaries that could use support as well! If you’d like information for other missionaries that could use some extra support, feel free to reach out.
